Eat Organic, Eat Simply, Eat Clean, Eat Healthy…

We are heading into the best time of year for many reasons.   One of them is that it is almost Farmers Market season!!! This is a perfect opportunity to start changing your food to organic and eating healthier.  Eating organic doesn’t have to be expensive.  All the local farmers and gardeners bringing out all their natural and health foods can be motivation to eat cleaner, seasonal foods for a healthier diet!
One of my friends shared with me a list of fruits and vegetables with the least amount of pesticides used. Since a lesser amount is used while growing the items below, you don’t have to worry about always purchasing the organic options of these. Keep in mind; I didn’t say no pesticides are used, just less. I keep this list in my wallet and pull it out when I am at the store.
~onions, avocado, sweet corn frozen, pineapples, mangos, asparagus, sweet peas frozen, kiwi, bananas, cabbage, broccoli, papaya, blueberries, cauliflower, winter squash, watermelon, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, eggplant, grapefruit~
Other suggestions I use when choosing my food is the “eating for your blood type”.  Website:  I don’t follow the food recommendations based on my A-type blood religiously, but I have to say that the foods that are listed in the avoid section are ones that don’t agree with my anyway.
Another modality I use is a test to find out my metabolic profile. This lets me know the breakdown of Fats, Proteins, and Carbohydrates that support my system and help me feel my best/help me live a healthy life/help me feel full throughout the day/prevents me from eating bad food/etc. website:
Be brave about looking into eating a cleaner diet and what other options there might be.  The hardest part I have experienced is not the money but rather having to shop more regularly. Eating fresh foods doesn’t allow for stocking up your freezer and defrosting your meal.  Yet my food tastes so much better now compared to when I used to do that.  There are so many websites out there that share wonderful, simple clean food recipes.  Be brave and check it out, today!!!

Good question! It is my understanding based on testing this list of food consistently has the least amount of pesticides when grown conventionally.
